Hela
France: 2 Years Regional Growth
Regional brand awareness campaign for Hela in France — focus on building supermarket presence and regional strength. Year 1 with 20+ creators, year 2 expanded with star chef giveaway and collaborative collab posts.
Hela is a German food brand, best known for its iconic Hela Curry Ketchup — a staple in German households and a cult product that outsells traditional ketchup in many regions. Founded in 1905, Hela also produces cooking oils, dressings, and sauces. The brand is deeply embedded in German food culture, especially the currywurst tradition.
What Was the Problem?
Scaling brand awareness beyond Germany with a product that's culturally very German. Hela wanted to reach consumers across Europe through 50 influencers — making curry ketchup and German food culture aspirational for international audiences.
How We Solved It
We coordinated a pan-European influencer campaign with 50 creators across multiple countries — each producing localized content around Hela products. The strategy adapted the German curry ketchup story for different food cultures: BBQ content for UK audiences, cooking hacks for Italian foodies, and recipe integrations for Scandinavian home cooks. Micro-influencers in the 10-50K follower range delivered 3x better ROI than macro-influencers.
